Our weaving mill is the heart of LennyLamb
Every wrap and carrier we place in your hands is born from our passion and full control over the production process. We do not use ready-made fabrics - all of our jacquard fabrics are woven in-house, on our own looms in Poland. This gives us full control over the process, and the confidence that every yarn we use meets the highest safety standards for you and your baby.
The beauty of jacquard and the unique character of the woven fabric
Jacquard weaving is a true craft. Due to the nature of loom work and the richness of woven designs, small and natural irregularities may (though do not necessarily have to) appear on the finished wrap.
What might you notice on your wrap?
Yarn slubs and nubs - natural thickened areas in the yarn, resulting from the characteristics of the fibre (especially common in blends containing linen, tussah silk, or wool).
Slight thread shifts in the weft or warp - delicate separations between threads which most often disappear after the first wash, as the fibres “bloom” and settle into place.
Weaver’s knots - carefully secured yarn ends. When one bobbin runs out on the loom, the yarn is tied to the next one. This is a natural part of weaving long lengths of fabric.
Tiny loose threads or fibres - small technological remnants that may gently protrude at the edges or around pattern transitions.
Important: All of the features listed above are completely natural in a professional weaving process. They are purely aesthetic, and do not affect the safety, strength, carrying capacity, durability, or everyday use of the wrap or carrier in any way.
By choosing a LennyLamb wrap or carrier, you are choosing a product with soul - created from the very first thread with closeness in mind.
