Woven Wrap carry - Front Wrap Cross Carry

Even if, at the beginning, using a woven wrap may seem to be a secret art to a newbie, we reassure you that after a few attempts you would become more confident and, therefore, find wraps very comfortable. Wrapping and babywearing is undoubtedly a great responsibility. However, it might be also associated with a great fun and bring joy to children and their caretakers.

The most basic carry is Front Wrap Cross Carry. It is very versatile as you can use it for a newborn baby and a toddler.

You need to start with finding the center of the wrap - it is marked with a label with a lamb on it :)

Place the wrap at the center of your chest and bring both tails to your back. Cross the tails on your back.

In this way, you create a small wrap pocket for your child. Slide the baby down to the pocket and spread the wrap over the baby's back.

It’s time to tighten the wrap! The best way to do it is to pull it up diagonally strand by strand, starting with the rail closer to your neck. Always make sure that the strands, which you already tightened, are secured in the other hand so as not to lose the tension of the material.

Guide the gathered tails along both sides of your child’s body.
