Cotton - is the basis of our wraps. Pure cotton wraps are universal - suitable for everyone and will work in all circumstances. Cotton fiber is characterized by breathability, springiness, elasticity, and strength. Cotton wraps are easy to clean and care for.

Woven at LennyLamb

Our wraps and carriers are created from the very first thread on our own jacquard looms in Poland. The rich texture of jacquard and the craft of weaving mean that small irregularities may naturally appear in the fabric, such as:

  • yarn slubs and nubs (typical of natural yarns),

  • weaver’s knots (secure thread joins made directly on the loom),

  • slight thread shifts (settle after the first wash).

Please remember: These are natural aesthetic features of jacquard fabric. They are not manufacturing defects and do not affect the safety, strength, durability, or carrying quality of your wrap or carrier in any way.

Does your wrap come from a true weaving studio, or from a manufacturer that just sources random fabric ? LennyLamb is a true weaving studio.

The Birdseye flat diaper is the most classic and versatile baby nappy solution used for centuries. It is the most economical, easiest to use and dries in no time (in Summer in full sun it dries super fast and will smell like fresh air 😉). We can simply fold the diaper into a rectangle or use "origami" (how to do it we write here 😉). There are really many ways and their variations - we are probably limited only by our imagination. Birdseye weave (so called because it resembles bird's eyes if you look closely) is more compact, denser and thus more absorbent, distributing moisture without significantly increasing the thickness of the nappy itself. Available sizes:

40x40cm: most recommended for premature babies and newborns under 3kg (6lbs)

50x50cm: from 3kg to 5kg (6-11lbs)

60x60cm: for large newborns and infants over 4kg (8lbs), depending on needs and body shape

70x70cm and 80x80cm: for babies over 6-7kg (13-15lbs) depending on needs and body shape

Washing instructions: machine wash at 60॰C (140॰F). Ironing is not recommended as this process reduces the absorbency of the diaper (if tumble drying you can iron the very edges to keep them from curling). Do not dry clean. You can tumble dry but it is not recommended as it can significantly shorten the life of the nappy. Do not bleach. Line drying is recommended (edges will dry smooth when line drying). It is recommended to use white washing powders containing a compound called TAED (Tetraacetylethylenediamine).

Before using for the first time: before washing your baby's diapers for the first time, soak them overnight in hot water with dish washing soap to speed up the washing out of the oils contained in the cotton. As cotton is a natural fibre it needs from 5 to 9 washes to become fully absorbent. The diaper can be worn after the first wash, but it is worth remembering to change it more often (this eliminates the dilemma of washing clean clothes, which is not always in line with our convictions).

Everyday care: the diaper you take off your baby's bottom should be washed (how to do it properly here 😉). If after washing you find that there are poo stains on the nappy, it's a good idea to expose the wet diaper to direct sunlight - the sun will naturally remove the stain and keep your diapers white. At the same time, these stains do not mean that the diaper is dirty (unless it is accompanied by an unpleasant smell, in which case it is worth looking again at the correctness of the washing process).
